Anti-Racism Lead Nominated for Premier’s Award for Work in District

The District Principal of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion is a finalist for a Premier’s Award for Excellence in Education.

Beth Applewhite has been leading anti-racism work in the District since the fall of 2020. She works with teachers, students, families, District leadership, and community groups to support our commitment to an equitable, diverse and inclusive environment for all. For her work in the District, as well as for her decades of advocacy for marginalized students and families, Applewhite is one of three finalists in the Social Equity and Diversity category.

She will join her fellow nominees at a ceremony at Government House in Victoria on October 14 where the winners will be announced.
