Have your say in the 2020/2021 Burnaby Schools budget

The Burnaby School District is inviting staff, students, parents and Burnaby community members to provide input as we develop the district’s 2020/2021 operating budget. We value the support of the Burnaby community and we encourage you to get involved. The budget process is a collaborative one that involves many stakeholders. The budget process occurs annually in March and April and ends with the adoption by the Board of Education of a budget for the upcoming school year.

The special public budget meeting scheduled for Wednesday, April 8 has been cancelled because of concerns regarding public gatherings during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the Board continues to gather information from employees, students and partner groups. Members of the Burnaby community are welcome to submit ideas and suggestions by email to budget@burnabyschools.ca or in writing to the Board’s Finance Committee at 5325 Kincaid Street, Burnaby, BC, V5G 1W2. The deadline for submissions is Monday, April 20.
