Throughout the year, there are many opportunities in schools across the District to celebrate culture, traditions, and how diversity strengthens our communities.
From classroom explorations to honouring special occasions in assemblies and other gatherings, students take pride in sharing their culture, heritage and authentic selves.
This month several schools and the District’s Settlement Workers in Schools, or SWIS workers, celebrated Eid together with families. School communities gathered for Eid, the feast that follows the month of Ramadan, and one of the biggest celebrations in the Muslim calendar.
