The Burnaby School District is committed to ensuring that all students and staff experience a strong sense of belonging in schools.
Anti-racism is not a single program or curriculum. Rather, it is an ongoing commitment to creating learning and working environments where every student, staff member, and family of all racial and cultural backgrounds are treated fairly and feel respected, valued, and safe.
The District follows the curriculum provided by the BC Ministry of Education and Child Care. Through classroom learning and school initiatives, students develop an understanding of the diverse society in which we live.
