Capitol Hill Elementary and Second Street Community School have made the finals in a prestigious national music contest.
Hundreds of teachers and thousands of students from coast-to-coast submitted entries in CBC’s Canadian Music Class Challenge after learning, performing and recording a Canadian song.
Capitol Hill has an impressive three entries that made the top ten finalist list in their categories. Congratulations to all the students who entered and to the classes below for making it to the finals.

For those who competed in the challenge, but aren’t in the top 10 lists, there is still a chance to win the MusiCounts Band Aid Passion Prize, the MusiCounts Innovation Prize and the Indigenous Language Prize. These categories and winners chosen from the finalists will be announced on December 13.
