Two Second Place Wins in National Music Contest

Burnaby Schools have taken the second place prizes in their categories for the Canadian Music Class Challenge. Congratulations to Glenwood Elementary and Second Street Community School students whose videos were selected for their amazing performances of Canadian music.

Seven music classes from the District were named finalists for their videos of a song chosen from a list of selections provided by CBC Music. Making it to the finals is an honour, with tens of thousands of students from across Canada competing. The top prize is $3000 in new musical instruments, with second-place winners receiving bragging rights and a plaque.
