Fun was had by all at this summer’s Pride events. Burnaby Schools participated in the Vancouver Pride Parade on the August long weekend. Annually, staff, students, and families are invited to participate by either walking with the Burnaby School District float or cheering us along the parade route. Many smiling faces joined in the fun again this year, along with trustees and our superintendent.
The second annual Burnaby Pride Street Party happened on August 10 and Burnaby Schools was there. The event included community partners, local artists and performers, and an “epic” street party.
