AVPA – Athletic and Visual & Performing Arts Program 

Student athletes and performers are given the opportunity to balance their practice and performance schedules with academic requirements met at Burnaby Central. An option for students in Grades 8-12.

Hockey Academies 

  • This program offers high performance hockey training for students in Grades 8-12 with
    academic requirements met at Burnaby North.
  •  An elite level Hockey Canada School Program operated in conjunction with the Burnaby Winter Club. Its objective is to provide high performance hockey training, while supporting grades 8-12 academic requirements at Burnaby Central.

Soccer Academies 

PASS – Play Active School Sports 

This program offers high performance soccer training for students in Grades 8-12 with
academic requirements met at Burnaby Central.

SFU Soccer Academy

In partnership with Simon Fraser University, this program offers high performance soccer training in a University environment. This is an option for any district student in Grades 8-12 with academic requirements met at their home school.

SFU Swim Academy

In partnership with Simon Fraser University, this program offers high performance swim training in a University environment. This is an option for any district student in Grades 8-12 with academic requirements met at their home school.
